This documentation aims to provide guidance and aid you through the installation process as well as shed a light on different features of the theme.

Following through this documentation, first we setup a theme ready WordPress installation. Then, we proceed to install the theme itself. So, let’s get started.

GETTING STARTED
Maker Base Pro has been tested and is compatible with WordPress version 4.9 and above. Please make sure that your version of WordPress is at least 4.9.
However, for reasons like security and added features, update your WordPress to the latest available version.
If you haven’t downloaded WordPress already, you can download it from the WordPress repository via https://wordpress.org/download/.
CHECKING AND UPDATING WORDPRESS VERSION
Make sure you are connected to the internet.
Login to WordPress admin panel
If update is available, a prompt will be shown just click the UPDATE button.
Next, download Maker Base Pro theme and save it on your PC. The download includes the following files:
WordPress Theme Files: A compressed theme file which consists of all the necessary files and extra assets such as images and icons.
THEME INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION
Installation can be done in any of the two ways:
- FTP/Cpanel
- WordPress Dashboard
Installing via WordPress Dashboard is recommended:
INSTALLING VIA WORDPRESS DASHBOARD
Log In to WordPress Admin Panel
- Go to Appearance > Themes
- Click on Add New button
- Click on Upload Theme
- Click on browse and select the makerbase-pro.zip file from your PC
- Click Install now
INSTALLING VIA FTP/CPanel
- Unzip “makerbase-pro.zip” and keep the folder in an accessible location on your PC
- Login using FTP Client such as FileZilla or CPanel
- Locate the folder “wp-content/themes” in your WordPress files
- Upload the unzipped Pro folder into “themes”Maker Base Pro folder

ACTIVATING THE THEME
- Log in to the WordPress Admin Panel
- Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress Menu
- Hover over the theme thumbnail and click the Activate button.

There are two files with the extensions (.xml, & .wie )
Use the following plugins to install the demos.
For .xml ( Site content) use the default WordPress importer.
- Go to tool > Import
- Install the WordPress Importer
- Run the importer
- Select the “demo-content-makerbase-pro.xml” file
- Click “Upload file and import” button
For .wie (Widgets) use the “Widget Importer & Exporter” plugin
- Install the plugin.
- Go to Appearance > Widgets.
- Click the “Import/Export” button.
- Select the “demo-widget-makerbase-pro.wie” file
- Click Import
SITE IDENTITY
Enables you to edit the name and logo of your site.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
- You can add or remove site logo and edit site information as shown.
DEFAULT HOMEPAGE SETTINGS
Maker Base Pro includes a dedicated customizable homepage.
You can enable the homepage by following these steps:
- Create a new page with a title.
- Choose “Homepage” as the page template.
Setting the page as homepage
- Click on Homepage Settings > Default Settings in customizer.
- Select “A Static Page”.
- Under Homepage, select the page created in previous step.
- Click on publish to save settings.
THEME OPTION PANEL
The selling point of the Maker Base Pro is user interactability. This theme provides users to use all the customizer settings in one panel “Theme Options”.
HOMEPAGE SETTINGS
This settings provides user to view the homepage sections and customize the sections/settings of that page.
HERO SECTION
Hero section allows user to add author details and descriptions. Now, Let world know about You.
Setting up the hero section.
- Click on Hero Section of Homepage Settings within the customizer.
- Enable or Disable Hero Section from Homepage.
- Mention the author name on Author Title .
- Write short information on Author Description.
- Select images on Author Images.
- Click Publish to save the settings.
FEATURED LOGOS SETTINGS
This option allows users to add the logos along with their links.
- Click on “Featured Logos Section” within the customizer homepage settings.
- Toggle the section in Enable Featured Logos Section.
- Enter the section title.
- Click on Add New Featured Logos or Update existing default logos.
- Add your clients image or company’s logo along with their links in their respective fields.
EBOOKS SETTINGS
This option allows users to show the category posts upon their choice.Choose posts that enhance the message that the author is trying to convey.
- Click on “Ebooks Settings” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enable or disable the ebooks section by toggling the button.
- Choose a category to feature the posts from. (Posts that belong to the selected category will be displayed )
- Click publish to save settings.
CATEGORY POST SECTION
This section allows users to show the category posts upon their choice but visualized in browser by its featured images.
- Click on “Category Post Section” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enter the title of category post section in Heading Text.
- Select the post of respective category. (Featured Image of Posts that belong to the selected category will be displayed )
- Click publish to save settings.
SERVICES SETTINGS
This option allows users to customize the Services Section in the home.
- Click on “Services” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enter the Title and subtext of the section.
- Click on ‘Add New Service’ icon.
- Select icons from the dropdown list
- Enter Service title and description .
FEATURED POST SETTINGS
This settings allows users to show one and only latest featured post .
- Click on “Featured Post Settings” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enable or disable Featured Post Section.
- Enter the title of featured post in Heading Text.
- Select the featuerd post of respective category.
- Click publish to save settings.
SUBSCRIBE SECTION
This section allows users to enlist their mail in subscription list so that they get updated on any new events or news .
- Click on “Subscribe section” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enable or disable Subscribe Section.
- Enter the Subscription Title in Subscribe Title.
- Mention some information about subscribe news in Subscribe Description.
- Admin can customize their own form and copy shortcode to display form.
- Click publish to save settings.
GALLERY SECTION
This option allows users to make image gallery that is displayed in the homepage.
- Click on “Gallery section” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enable or disable Gallery Section.
- Enter the Gallery Title.
- Use slider to choose number of images to display.
- Click publish to save settings.
PRODUCT SECTION
This option show the latest woocommerce product list on the basis of the category .
- Click on “Product section” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enable or disable Product Section.
- Enter the Product Section Title.
- Toggle show more button.
- Click publish to save settings.
BLOG SECTION
This section provides information of the latest blog posts and its summarization .
- Click on “Product section” within the customizer Homepage Settings.
- Enable or disable Blog Section.
- Enter the Product Section Title.
- Toggle show more button.
- Click publish to save settings.
SORT/RE-ORDER HOMEPAGE
This option allows user to use a drag and drop interface to re-allocate the existing homepage sections
- Click on “Sort/reorder homepage” within the homepage customizer
- Drag and drop the panels to rearrange the sections according to your need.
- Click the small eye infront of the panels to hide the corresponding section.
- Click publish to save settings.
HEADER SETTINGS
Includes options for selecting different site header layouts and other header specific settings.
Header Layout
- Click on “Header Settings” in customizer.
- Click on “Header Layouts”.
- Choose a header layout from among nine different layouts.
- Click publish to save settings.
Header Options
- Click on “Header Options” within the “Header Settings” in customizer.
- Toggle the search bar. Doing this will either show or hide the search bar in site.
- Toggle social links in a header.Social Links can be toggled in some header layouts only, so as to make it simple.
- Click on “Add new Icon” for displaying additional information in header.
- Choose an icon.
- Enter the label.
- Click publish to save settings.
You can add multiple icons. However, the recommended number is two.
TYPOGRAPHY SETTINGS
This option allows users to choose fonts for the site. You can select a font for site headers and another font for site body.
- Choose font family of “Base Font” and “Heading Font”within “Typography Settings” in customizer.
- Select the font variant of corresponding font family
- Click publish to save settings
GENERAL SETTINGS
Includes options such as Layouts Option of theme, Sidebar Position, Blog Layouts,Pagination Types which applies to the entire theme.
- Click on “General Settings” in Customizer.
- Choose a default site layout. Boxed or Full-Width.
- Select the sidebar position to show widgets of user choice.
- This settings also provide Blog Layouts Options.Choose blog listing layouts among three layouts for blog pages.
- The type of PAGINATION can be chosen.
SINGLE POST SETTINGS
This option includes configuration options for single pages
Post Page Settings
- Click on “Single Post/Page Settings” within “Theme Option Panel” in customizer.
- Choose the blog layouts among nine layouts for the single blog posts.
- Toggle the related posts.
- Toggle date display.
- Toggle featured image display.
- Toggle comments display.
BREADCRUMB SETTINGS
This option contains general breadcrumb settings
- Click on “Breadcrumb Settings” in the customizer.
- Toggle whether to show or hide the breadcrumb.
- Enter the breadcrumb home text. Defaults to “Home”.
- Enter the breadcrumb selector. Defaults to “>”.
STYLING OPTIONS
This options includes general styling for the theme.
- Click on “Styling Settings” in the “Theme Options”customizer.
- Choose Primary theme color.
- Choose Secondary theme color.
- Choose a background color.
SOCIAL MEDIA SETTINGS
Allows users to manage the social media links.
- Click on “Social Media Settings” within the “Theme Options” in customizer.
- Enter the social media link in given social media. Leave blank to disable the social media link,if necessary.
- Click publish to save settings.
Note: Toggle feature to enable Socials Media Links are given in Header and Footer Section separately for user convenient. Social Media are listed in Header Three, Six and Eight Layouts.
FOOTER SETTINGS
This setting allows user to control various elements in the site footer.
Includes basic footer settings.
- Click on “Footer Settings” in “Theme Option ” panel in customizer.
- Enter the copyright text.
- Toggle author link.
- Toggle WordPress link.
- Toggle social media links in footer
- Click publish to save settings.
